According to Jon Rothstein of FanRag sports, Baylor and Wichita State have likely agreed to a new hoops series. Head Coach Gregg Marshall said that they were “waiting for the ink to dry” on Rothstein’s podcast.

Wichita State was just recently announced to be moving to the AAC from the Missouri Valley Conference. WSU will join other prominent basketball programs such as SMU, Cincinnati, and Connecticut.
Marshall also mentioned that WSU will be scheduling games with other Big 12 schools such as Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to bolster a strong non-conference basketball schedule.
For Baylor, this is a win-win. A tough opponent in the early part of the season either puts a good team in the spotlight (see 2016-2017) or gives an untested squad a very good measurement point to build on.
