Baylor Earns #3 Seed and will take on New Mexico State in Tulsa

Baylor has earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament’s East Region, and they’ll play New Mexico State. That game is on Friday. We’ll know the tip time later tonight. If the Bears win, they’ll take on the winner of SMU-Provide/USC (first four game). That game would be on Sunday.

The Bears open in Tulsa. If they win the first two games, they’ll head to New York for the regional final. Villanova is the No. 1 seed in this region. Duke is the No. 2 seed.

This seems like a fair seed for Baylor. But SMU as a No. 6 is brutal. The Ponies are #14 on KenPom. Virginia, Florida, and Wisconsin are all dramatically under-seeded based on KenPom and in this region too. This will be a brutal region to emerge from.
