Baylor Volleyball lost to Colorado tonight 25-12, 25-22 and 25-20 in the 2nd round of NCAA Tournament play.
Colorado’s kill speed and power was too much for Baylor to handle. Baylor only managed 9 blocks for the match and had difficulty making digs and set up passes. With poor setups, Baylor struggled early with Colorado’s blocks and continued to struggle all night long. When Baylor did manage to slip one through the blocks, Colorado usually managed a dig and then the Colorado kill speed and power was again too much for Baylor to handle. The match ended on a block by Colorado.
Colorado had 25 blocks to Baylor’s 9 blocks, 43 kills to Baylor’s 38 and 47 digs to Baylor’s 40.
Baylor’s twenty errors also contributed to the loss.
Full stats are available at the NCAA GameCenter.
So ends another remarkable run for Baylor volleyball.
