Baylor’s top QB target, and the biggest target for the class, is Arkansas quarterback Gerry Bohanon. He’s a 4-star guy and the No. 1 prospect in the state of Arkansas. He’ll announce his college decision at 2:00 on Tuesday.
Baylor has been focused on Bohanon throughout the year. He dominated at the Elite 11 camp and is a big dual-threat quarterback. He’d work in almost any system, but the Bears really like how he’d fit in theirs.
Baylor is the pick for 88% of 247’s crystal ball selections. Arkansas appears to be the biggest threat. Bohanon is from Arkansas, and with the hiring of Chad Morris, it’s possible Bohanon is swayed to stay home. He’s also planning to visit Memphis. It would be a massive shock if he ends up somewhere other than Baylor or Arkansas.
Recruiting is always tough to predict. Anything can change when someone makes a big decision. I think he’ll end up at Baylor. His connection with the Baylor staff is much deeper than with Morris’ crew, and I feel confident if he would have picked a school last week, he’d have selected Baylor. But recruiting is really difficult to predict. It won’t be a shock if he ends up at Arkansas.
