Men’s Basketball

No. 21 Men's Hoops Hosts Texas Southern - Baylor University Official Athletic Site, No. 21 Baylor men's basketball hosts Texas Southern at 7:30 p.m. CT Thursday night at the Ferrell Center.

The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 and WatchESPN.

Baylor has posted a combined 134-28 record in November and December games during the Drew era, including a 52-6 mark in November and December games since 2013.

BU has won 25 consecutive December games against unranked opponents dating back to 2013. The Bears' only December losses in that span were at No. 24 Texas A&M (2015) and vs. No. 8 Wichita State (2017).

No. 6 Lady Bears Cruise Past McNeese State - Baylor University Official Athletic Site, Kristy Wallace scored 20 points, including four three-pointers, as the Baylor Lady Bears cruised to a 95-34 win over McNeese State Wednesday afternoon at the Ferrell Center.

No. 6 Lady Bears own paint, push around McNeese, 95-34, WacoTrib, Didi Richards has been called a great defender by her head coach. She’s also been dubbed as one of the funniest by her teammates.

In the press room Wednesday afternoon after No. 6 Baylor’s 95-34 rout over McNeese State, Kim Mulkey looked to her right and asked Richards to share what else she’s been called.

“Rag doll,” Richards answered. “She even called me that during the game.”

Smiling, Mulkey asked Richards to say what a rag doll is, the freshman said she didn’t know.

“You get pushed around,” Mulkey replied. “You just flop around. Be strong. ... You saw that rebound she gave up there at the end on a missed free throw, right? She’s our little rag doll, but she’s ours and nobody else’s. You got that right, we’ll keep her. We chose her and we got her.”

To which, Richards replied with a grin in a quiet voice, “Thank you.”

Wallace scores 20, No. 6 Baylor routs McNeese State 95-34, After a long layoff, coaches usually are concerned about their teams showing rust in the early part of their next game.

Any fears Baylor coach Kim Mulkey might have had were quickly eased Wednesday, thanks to some of her veteran players.

Kristy Wallace scored 20 points and No. 6 Baylor opened on a 27-3 run to rout McNeese State 95-34.

"I think we came out well," Wallace said. "We ran the floor really hard, especially with Alexis (Morris) at the point to begin the game. I think we did have lapses during the game where we weren't fully there defensively. But I think we came back ready to play, and the girls did well."
