Baylor dispatched Randall. There’s not a lot to take away from a game against an opponent facing such a talent disadvantage. But there were three things I focused on:
1) Nuni Omot needs to keep shooting 3-point shots- He went 6-of-8 yesterday. Yes, many of those shots were wide open, but Omot has, at times, turned down open looks. Baylor needs consistent scoring from their small forwards. Hopefully Omot can become a 35%+ 3-point shooter.
2) Jo Lual-Acuil’s activity was much better- He hasn’t blocked nearly as many shots this season, but he still is a monster in transition:

3) The rest of the non-conference schedule is about getting healthy- Manu Lecomte sat out with a hand injury, and Mark Vital didn’t play because of a sore hamstring. The Bears had just six scholarship players yesterday.
Baylor’s remaining non-conference schedule (with the exception of Florida in the Big 12-SEC Challenge) is not tough. That’s a good thing. The Bears are dealing with so many injuries.
