Congratulations to the Soccer Bears as they down the Notre Dame Irish 3-2 with a golden goal in overtime.

The Lady Bears’ Lauren Piercy scored the first and only goal in the first half. A second, buzzer beater goal by Baylor was denied at the end of the first.

The Lady Bears started the second half right were they left off in the first, with another goal, this one by Lady Bear Kennedy Brown, putting them up 2-0. The Irish responded with two quick goals in succession. Baylor responded with near domination for the rest of the game. As the game got tighter, so did the Lady Bears’ control.

Precious Akanyirige, Baylor’s anchor on defense, scored the golden goal that ended the game.
