Daughter of Lady Bears head coach asks for prayers for unborn daughter, Makenzie Fuller, the daughter of Lady Bears head coach Kim Mulkey, is asking for prayers for her unborn daughter who, she says, is “fighting for her life every day.”

No. 3/3 WBB Hosts Central Arkansas Tuesday - Baylor University Official Athletic Site, The No. 3/3 Baylor Lady Bears are back in action for the third time in the last five days with a Tuesday, Nov. 14, contest against the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears at 7 p.m. (CT) inside the Ferrell Center.

How Kim Mulkey and Baylor landed the top recruiting class in the country - Swish Appeal, NaLyssa Smith, who has a 3.4 GPA, is interested in studying communications.

And once she committed, she put her communication skills to use, texting DeCosta with the following message:

"Let's shock the world!"

Smith also knew Egbo and told her simply: "Come to Baylor!"

When DeCosta and Egbo committed to Baylor, Smith said she was "probably more excited than coach Mulkey."

Smith didn't know Bickle or Scott-Grayson initially, but the five started a group text and have become close.

Mulkey said she spent five years recruiting Smith, who averaged 23.2 points, 17.5 rebounds and 5.0 blocks as a junior.

"She is one of the most versatile players in the 2018 class," Mulkey said in a statement. "NaLyssa has the ability to play and defend every position on the floor."

Turnovers lead the Bears to fall once again | The Baylor Lariat, Baylor football (1-9) fell 38-24 Saturday to Texas Tech (5-5) with turnovers plaguing the Bears.

The Bears out-gained the Red Raiders 523 to 337. However, with four turnovers, several of which came in the red zone, the Bears struggled to keep the Red Raiders from scoring.

It wasn’t just the defense that let Baylor down against Texas Tech. The special teams contributed to the Red Raiders success as junior wide receiver Keke Coutee took the opening kickoff back for a 92-yard touchdown.

Baylor head coach Matt Rhule said that the team needed to keep in mind that the two offenses cancelled each other out, but it was the costly mistakes on special teams and turnovers that ultimately doomed the Bears.

Cross country falls short of NCAA Championships bid | The Baylor Lariat, Baylor men’s and women’s cross country finished ninth and third respectively at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships Saturday in College Station.

The top two teams on each side receive automatic bids to the NCAA Championships competition, as well as the top four runners for each non-qualifying team.

Sophomore Anna West and junior Lindsey Bradley took third and fourth place, respectively, in the women’s 6,000-meter race to qualify for the NCAA Championships. West posted a 19:40.0 and Bradley finished in 19:42.3 as both earned All-Region distinctions.

Though she's only 10, no one knows that better than Addie Rodriguez, who was born with spirit in her veins. She started cheerleading for two reasons-- first, because she thought it was a fun thing to do after school, and second, because she was looking for a distraction.

Her dad, Abel Rodriguez, is in the military. As a senior airman, he's served in both Iraq and Afghanistan as part of a security force.

There was one person who didn't understand what all the fuss was about. That one person was Matthew Garcia.
