Baylor women’s soccer dominated MSU on Sunday but couldn’t get the win, losing 1-0. The Bears put on a more athletic performance than the Spartans but couldn’t get the ball to go inside the net with numerous shots being barely deflected enough to bounce off of the goal. The Spartans had trouble getting through the Baylor defense to get close enough to get shots off and scored only on a corner kick head shot combination. Baylor Bears dot com has more on this tough loss for the Bears.
"I'm really proud of the team. We played really well, just didn't get the result. Michigan State ran a good play and found a way to score. They are a good team and you cannot make too many mistakes against teams like that. Early in the season we've learned a lot, we are creating opportunities and limiting our opponents' chances. It was a game of set pieces today and they executed and we didn't really execute on ours. Credit to them. I'm proud of the effort, we really did push them for 90 minutes. We couldn't find the back of net and sometimes that's just how it goes in our game. The girls are resilient and learning from situations like this, and we'll get ready for Friday." -- Head Coach Paul Jobson
Our Daily Bears’ OBF (that’s me) attended the game and was able to get this photo of Baylor parents and fans that made the trip to East Lansing.
