Baylor Football News
KJ Smith in, Byron Bonds out, Baylor’s Defensive line has some experience remaining.
“I’ve got to be the leader on the line and show them the way,” Smith said. “I know how hectic it is to get thrown in there as a freshman. I know it’s going to be fast, and you’ve got to take them with you and guide them in the right direction.”
Johnny Jefferson is out indefinitely. This story from USA Today.
Acting head coach Jim Grobe said Monday that Jefferson will "be out for a while." The coach said the biggest issue was Jefferson's foot, which was stepped on early in preseason practice, and did not specify whether the running back would be ready for the Sept. 2 season opener against Northwestern State.
