Baylor faces former Baylor soccer coach in exhibition today. From Bears Extra.
Randy Waldrum coached the first Baylor soccer team in 1996 and brought home the university’s first Big 12 championship in 1998.On Thursday night, he’ll return to Baylor as the coach of the Houston Dash, a professional team in the National Women’s Soccer League.
The Bears will host the Dash in an exhibition match at 6 p.m. at Betty Lou Mays Field. The match will be held in conjunction with “Meet the Bears” as the Baylor players will sign autographs after the match.

Baylor is coming off a 9-6-4 (4-1-2 Big 12, second place) campaign in 2015 in which its season ended in the semifinals at the Big 12 Championship. Baylor returns 22 players, including eight starters, while welcoming 10 newcomers for the 2016 season. BU began preseason camp on Aug. 2 and hosts exhibition matches against the Houston Dash on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT and Houston Baptist on Saturday at 7 p.m. Baylor’s season opener is on Aug. 19 at Detroit Mercy.

Andrew Billings was carted off the field following a lower leg injury on Wednesday during practice. SBNation’s Cincy Jungle has the story.
During Wednesday's joint practice with the Minnesota Vikings, rookie defensive tackle Andrew Billings suffered a lower-leg injury. It occurred during a pass-rushing drill in which Billings was tangled up, and after lying on the field in pain, was helped onto a cart before being carted out of practice.
