Baylor seniors Shock Linwood and Seth Russell and junior KD Cannon have been named to the watch list for the 80th-annual Maxwell Award, The Maxwell Football Club announced Tuesday. The Maxwell Award is given annually to America's College Player of the Year.
BU joins Clemson as the only two programs in the country to have three candidates on the preseason list. All three student-athletes will look to play an integral part in the Baylor offense in 2016, after each being a contributor in the country’s top-rated offense in both of the past two seasons.

WACO, Texas (KWTX) There she is, Miss Texas 2016. Waco resident Caroline Carothers was crowned as the new Miss Texas last night in Richardson. Caroline is a junior at Baylor University where she performs as one of the feature baton twirlers. During the preliminary contests, she won the talent award for her twirling. Last year, she held the title of Miss Waco, and this year she competed at the Miss Texas pageant as Miss Plano. With her new title, she will travel the state doing community service and making appearances at Texas schools and events speaking on her platform, "With + Math = I Can." Caroline will represent Texas at the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City in September.
