Texas Tech released a positive statement about Houston joining the Big 12. Chuck Carlton of the Dallas Morning News writes:

"As the Big 12 evaluates its options for expansion, Texas Tech welcomes the consideration of the University of Houston. We have always valued our partnerships with UH," the statement read.

If you’re wondering about some team maybe wanting in the Big 12, then Matt Brown and Jason Kirk have you covered.

If you like conspiracy theories or want to understand what conspiracy theories are out there, Jason Kirk breaks down why U.T. might be supporting Houston’s inclusion in the Big 12.

Wil London won a silver medal. From the Waco Tribune-Herald:

Baylor freshman Wil London III finished second in the IAAF World U20 Championship 400-meter final at Zawisza Stadium in Bydgoszcz, Poland, running a personal best 45.27 seconds after running a 47.23 to qualify in the semifinals Wednesday.

Dino Barbers, former Baylor assistant and current leader at Syracuse had this to say, from Stephen Bailey of syracuse.com:

"We're like Baylor, but we're different than Baylor," Babers said at the ACC Kickoff on Friday. "If you really know what Baylor does, we're different than Baylor. Speed wise we're a lot like Baylor, but we like to get in some sets and do some things that Baylor doesn't have to do because their personnel is so much better than everyone else's personnel."

A few years down the road, Babers hopes the unique system he's adapted from Baylor can attract the type of players that the Bears had before the Pepper Hamilton report shattered their recruiting efforts.
