Tren'Davian Dickson, a top 150 national recruit, has requested a release so he can transfer immediately from Baylor, according to 247's Texas A&M site, GigEm247. Dickson enrolled at Baylor in January and is the first person enrolled at Baylor to ask for a release so he can transfer.
Dickson originally committed to Baylor. He then flipped to Texas. But that was not the end of Dickson's recruitment. Eventually, Dickson ended up flipping back to Baylor.
If he's denied his release, Dickson told GigEm247 he still may transfer and sit out a season.
On top of losing Devin Duvernay officially after Baylor failed to turn in his letter of intent, the Bears could now be down two of the highest-ranked recruits in program history. As we've stressed throughout this process, Baylor is going to lose some players. Although this is the first player to request his release currently on the roster, Baylor has not lost anyone who has actually played a down as a Bear. Whether that continues is an open question.
