This is a significant announcement for Scott Drew and the Baylor basketball program to get a home and home with one of the superpowers of college basketball in Arizona. The Bears will travel to the McKale Center in Tucson in December 2018 before Arizona makes the return trip the following December. Baylor has played non-conference road or neutral games against teams like Kentucky, Syracuse, and Gonzaga in recent years, but hasn’t had a marquee game in the Ferrell Center against a big brand name opponent in quite some time. This changes that. Arizona has regained their status as a top 10 caliber program under head coach Sean Miller and has appeared in 12 Sweet Sixteens in the last 20 years. Baylor may have a reputation for not scheduling big name non-conference opponents in football, but you certainly can't say the same for basketball.
