The Bears host the Oregon Ducks at 2:30. The game airs on ESPN2. Kendall has his thoughts on the Bears first game here.
Baylor is hosting its first ever top five nonconference opponent. KenPom gives Baylor a 47% chance to win this one.
The Ducks have elite shot blocking. They set a school record with 13 blocks in their opener against Army.
Dillon Brooks is Oregon’s best player, and he will not play today. Tim Watkins of Baylor Scout reported this:
Sounding like no Dillon Brooks today for Oregon against the Bears. Huge break for BU.

ESPN’s Andy Katz reports Brooks may not return until next Monday against Georgetown, but there’s a slight chance he could play today.
On the other hand, Johnathan Motley is Baylor’s best player. He may be out. Motley missed the first game because he played in the Drew League over the summer. In addition, Motley had an ankle injury, which was first reported by SicEmSports:
#Baylor Jr. F Jonathan Motley not playing bc of a high ankle sprain; hoping to play vs. No. 5 Oregon Tuesday afternoon.

Vegas likes the Bears, but poker pro and sicem365 contributor Jared Hamby notes that the line may not be factoring in Motley’s potential absence, or at the very least, lingering injury:
for anyone betting on college bball, Baylor has moved to -1.5 over #5 Oregon, but Johnathan Motley is nursing high ankle sprain, is 50/50

Baylor’s 2017 signee has it right though:
