First reported by Brad Winton of @JucoReporting, Melbourne-native Joseph Acuil (7'0/F/2015) of Neosho CC has committed to Baylor.
Acuil is a long and skilled stretch/face 4 man with tons of upside. Nice get for Baylor.

It was known that Acuil was a target, but I personally don't know for how long. Some are congratulating Coach Drew on finding an Isaiah Austin replacement, but time will tell.
Neosho center Joseph Acuil chose Baylor over schools like LSU, Oklahoma, Iowa State, Texas A&M and Colorado.

From the Neosho Community College Athletics website:
Joseph Acuil was named First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-Region VI, and the Jayhawk East Defensive Player of the Year. Acuil was an imposing presence in the middle of the Neosho defense. The 7-0 freshman recorded a Region VI leading 88 blocks on the season, averaging nearly 3.0 blocks per game. Acuil tallied a team best 11 double-doubles including five straight games in the heart of the conference schedule. Acuil recorded 15 games with 10 or more rebounds and 6 games with 5 or more blocks. For the season he averaged 11.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game.
