Really dreadful stuff. I didn't know anyone involved personally, but I know people who did. Keep the families and friends of the students involved in this crash in your thoughts and prayers today. I can't think of much else to say.

Ticketing

McCaw: #TCU has taken their full allotment of 3,800 tickets. Remaining single game tickets go on sale the week of August 4. Be ready to pull the trigger if you want to get into McLane Stadium this season.

It's hard to get a read on these young guys, but 2017 RB Eno Benjamin seems high on Baylor and should be one of the top players in his class when all is said and done.
JP Urquidez might also be nearing a decision. Things should be relatively quiet on the recruiting front until the season starts. The more guys we can get on campus to see a game, the better.
Hunger

A lot of fanbases see Baylor's dissatisfaction with preseason polls as entitlement. I think we all understand that this team is unhappy with the way last season ended and hungry to earn lasting respect.

Josh Gordon Update
Josh Gordon's legal team has put together a plan to protect Gordon from a possible season-long suspension due to testing positive for marijuana use. Gordon's representatives will utilize witnesses who will testify that Gordon's positive test was due to secondhand smoke exposure. I rolled my eyes initially, but facts surrounding Gordon's case give me reason to believe it could work.
Of the 70+ drug tests Josh Gordon has taken since entering the league, the one in question is the first since his rookie year that has tested positive, and even then only one of two samples used came back above the 15-nanogram-per-milliliter threshold. The A sample used in the test came back positive, but the B sample taken at the same time came back negative.
Even if the positive A sample is considered sufficient evidence of willful marijuana use, the threshold used by the NFL is still considerably lower than that used by the MLB or the Olympics. Given the company that Gordon probably keeps, secondhand smoke exposure becomes plausible- if not necessarily probable. With the media firestorm surrounding Ray Rice, there will be considerable pressure on the NFL to balance its punishments appropriately. If Gordon wins his appeal, it will be the result of a perfect storm. If it works out, hopefully Josh will see the situation as a wakeup call.
Gordon was a superstar for the usually lifeless Browns last year.
