<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>PM RT: Baylor spent ~$2 million outfitting its new stadium with Wi-Fi. Fans can access live replays/stats via an app. <a href="http://t.co/ae0KU4cOOS">http://t.co/ae0KU4cOOS</a></p>— David Ubben (@davidubben) <a href="https://twitter.com/davidubben/statuses/487395937980268544">July 11, 2014</a></blockquote>

Ubben's article from yesterday is a pretty solid compilation of cool facts about McLane Stadium, but this one took me a little off guard. I figured the school would spring for wifi in the stadium, but I didn't expect this kind of investment in the fan experience. If the purported app works as well as developers hope, it could be a really cool tool for stat enthusiasts. Consider me skeptical until I link my phone to the stadium network and experience it for myself.
Art Briles will make his annual appearance at the Touchdown Club of Houston on Wednesday. Briles' Houston ties and personality make him a favorite of those in attendance. Events like these are essential to any coach that wants to recruit actively in Texas, and Briles has been a rock star in the past.
Art Briles and Dave Campbell will be holding a joint autograph session in the Baylor Bookstore on Thursday, July 17 at 5:30 p.m. Customers who buy a copy of Briles' new book Beating Goliath along with a copy of Dave Campbell's Texas Football will be entered into a drawing to win a poster signed by both.
