Good morning all and welcome to another edition of the Daily Bears Report. In today's report, we're discussing bats sports, men's tennis, and track and field. Unlike a certain show, I do not have an extremely long intro with cool graphics and great music to pass the time, so we're jumping right into the news.
Softball Out-duel Tulsa; Advance to Play...Tulsa
Moore's 700th Win Puts SB in Driver's Seat; Bears Beat Tulsa, 2-1 - BaylorBears.com
Coach Glenn Moore earned his 700th win (561 with the Lady Bears) as Baylor rode Whitney Canion's outstanding pitching to beat Tulsa, 2-1. Tulsa's pitching star, Aimee Creger (28-1, 1.24 ERA), was handed her second loss of the year by virtue of a two-run fourth inning from the Lady Bears.
Tulsa beat Houston in the other game yesterday, meaning Baylor and Tulsa will face off once again today. Baylor would have to be beaten twice in order to not advance. The first game is at 1:00 at Getterman. If necessary, the second game will begin immediately following.
