JerryWorld filled up, tens of thousands of people squinted really hard before sighing and watching the game on the megatron, and basketball season died with a whimper in a game that maybe 5% of our readers were truly invested in. UConn cut down the nets as the first 7 seed to win it all, something that would be much more inspiring if they weren't... well... UConn.For those of us who have no rooting interest in the NBA or MLB, these are truly the darkest of days.
In-Season News
After a lengthy rest, softball is headed to Houston for a matchup with the Cougars. The Lady Bears (28-6) and the Cougars (23-10) will meet at 4 p.m. at the Cougar Softball Field for a doubleheader. Baylor is ranked 13th in both major polls, and Houston received votes.
Men's Tennis continues Big 12 play at TCU. The seventh-ranked Baylor men's tennis team (18-4, 1-0) will hit the road Tuesday to face No. 53 TCU (10-10, 0-3) at 5:30 p.m. at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Beating TCU can make any day a little bit better.
Baseball will play at Sam Houston State Tuesday. Baseball begins its week of play with a 6:30 p.m. CT tilt at Sam Houston State on Tuesday. The game will mark the 101st all-time meeting between the Bears (15-16) and Bearkats (21-11). What is a bearkat?

Odyssey Sims won the 2014 Wade Trophy per the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. The award is often dubbed the "Heisman of women's basketball" and Baylor becomes one of only a few schools to take home the trophy three years in a row. Brittney Griner won in 2012 and 2013.
Volleyball adds a new director of operations. Head volleyball coach Jim Barnes announced Sam Erger Monday as the team's director of operations. Erger comes Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas, where she led her team to a 29-9 record and a national tournament appearance.
