Wednesday Daily Bears Report: Order has been restored.

I don't even know what happened yesterday. It wasn't April Fools' Day; it was Troll the Commentariat and Alienate New Readers Day.

Points of clarification:

  • I, ConnerSaurusRex, did not transfer to TCU or Texas A&M.
  • As much as we wish it could be, this isn't the TCU Sucks Report, it's the Daily Bears Report.
  • Peter Pope is not the blogrunner. Thank heavens.
  • It's back to business here. Fun is outlawed.

Headline Stuff

Baseball posted a win against Incarnate Word by a score of 5-2. One would hope for a larger margin of victory when they come to McLane Stadium in 2019. The guys are 13-3 at home, but 1-10 on the road. They wrap up the home series against UIW tomorrow at 4 p.m. and head to Texas this weekend. Gulp.

Softball mowed down another with a 6-1 victory over Lamar. The Lady Bears are now 28-6 on the season and are ranked 13th nationally in all major polls.

We're about to find out once and for all how 2Sleeves and H3SLIP match up against the other masters of their respective crafts.

Odyssey Sims is a unanimous AP All-American and that comes as a complete shock to all of us.

Also, Baylor Freshman sprinter Trayvon Brommell is an absolute speed demon. He tied the world junior record in the 100m dash with a time of 10.01, and was named National Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA (an organization which wins Unnecessarily Long Acronym of the Week).

You should also know that...

Men's Tennis will Host No. 25 South Florida. The seventh-ranked Baylor men's tennis team will host the 25th-ranked South Florida Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Hurd Tennis Center in its last match before beginning conference play Saturday.

Equestrian Lands No. 6 Seed in NCEA National Championships. After a Big 12 Championship meet loss to Oklahoma State, the Baylor equestrian team was seeded No. 6 in the upcoming April 17-19 NCEA National Championships hosted by Baylor and the city of Waco. If someone can get my sister a press pass to this we could churn out award-winning longform on collegiate equestrianism.

Women's Tennis Will Face No. 56 TCU. The 16th-ranked Baylor women's tennis team will travel to Fort Worth, Texas, to continue Big 12 play vs. 56th-ranked TCU at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

Women's Golf news cometh. It shall break forth over the horizon like the fier'y chariot of Helios. But for now, you must be patient.

Public Service Announcement

I get that the motorcycle dunk (not shown here) is awesome. I get it. But seriously, to students who are reading this, don't be dumb and don't disappoint Sgt. Swanton. Instead, marvel at the fact that Waco P.D. has a verified twitter account and Bryce Petty doesn't.
