In-Season News: MBB, WBB, Baseball, Softball
Men's basketball ventures to Manhattan to take on the Wildcats of Kansas State. The game marks the beginning of spring break and the end of the regular season. A win practically locks a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the Bears. A loss doesn't hurt Baylor's chances too much at this point, but it necessitates a win in the opening round of the Big 12 Tournament for fans to feel completely confident on selection day. Tipoff is at 12:30 p.m. on Big 12 Network. A WatchESPN link can be found in the official writeup at BaylorBears.com.
The Women's Big 12 Tournament continues today at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. The Lady Bears, led by Big 12 Player of the Year Odyssey Sims and freshman standout Nina Davis play their first game against eighth-seeded Kansas today at 1:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Southwest. Kansas was one of only two Big 12 teams to fell the Lady Bears during the regular season, and most of us are still scratching our heads at that one.

Baseball had a less-than-stellar showing against No. 4 Cal State Fullerton last night in the first of a three-game series. The Titans won 11-0, riding stellar pitching and seven Baylor errors to victory.

Softball takes the weekend off after their rout of Louisiana Tech on Thursday.
Offseason Football News
Baylor's 2015 recruiting took a bit of a hit as five star Stephenville quarterback Jarrett Stidham committed to Texas Tech. Stidham is the most highly rated quarterback recruit in Tech history, but most reports indicate that Baylor is pleased with Chad President as a QB prospect. Congratulations to Mr. Stidham on making his decision.
I have officially committed to be a Texas Tech Red Raider! #GunsUp

While Stidham is a huge get for Kliff Kingsbury and his staff, Baylor fans need to keep in mind that the current class is already shaping up to be one of (if not the) best recruiting hauls in program history. There's no reason to be concerned.

Alumni, Friends Make Gifts to New Track and Field Stadium - Baylor Bears Official Athletic Site - BaylorBears.com
Baylor University today announced a variety of gifts made by alumni and friends to create the Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium, an on-campus, .1-million facility whose final design and construction were approved in October by Baylor's Board of Regents.
I like the fact that Populous is designing both facilities. The uniformity of the buildings around Baylor's campus has always contributed to its aesthetic appeal. The new facilities across the river utilize the same red brick found in the heart of campus, keeping a traditional feel while dragging the architecture into the future. Delicious.
