Softball is in California softballing it up, and it's going to be a huge weekend for Baylor sports, with MBB, WBB, softball, baseball, and many others in action. Combine that with the wrapping-up of the Winter Olympics and you shouldn't find yourself wanting for televised feats of strength and agility until you have to head back to work on Monday.

You know the deal with basketball right now. The Lady Bears are cutting through the Big 12 like it's warm butter and pay a visit to TCU at 11:00 tomorrow. The men are teetering on the brink of a lost season, but a win over West Virginia in Morgantown will go a long way toward winning a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Tipoff is at 12:30 on Saturday.
Congrats to Sune Agbuke, Mariah Chandler, Chardonae Fuqua' and Makenzie Robertson on Academic All-Big 12 honors. http://t.co/QmHGCluEHY

Baseball takes on Austin Peay tomorrow at Baylor Ballpark in the first of a three game series. The first pitch is at 6:35. I know absolutely nothing about the Austin Peay Governors beyond what can be read on their official preview of the series.
Baylor's No. 15 softball team downed No. 16 Mizzou in tournament play in California early this morning. There is no official story on the game yet, but there is this tweet. Tweets are good:
No. 15 Baylor (9-2) beats No. 16 Missouri (5-2), 3-2. Win: Stearns (5-0) Save: Canion (1) HR: Hays (3) #SicEm

Off-Season Football News
Charges against Cordell Dorsey, a Baylor commit at linebacker in the 2014 class, have reportedly been dropped. It's a good thing ODB is swarming with lawyers and legal enthusiasts to analyze the situation. Dorsey's football future is murky at this point in time.
Hearing Baylor is still in play w/ 2014 commit Cordell Dorsey of Abilene Cooper. Some things need to be worked out, but still a possibility.

The ESPN Big 12 Blog has been previewing position groups for the 2014-2015 football season. Unsurprisingly, Baylor is hanging out at the top on offense. I could make the argument that Shock Linwood and Devin Chafin are a better running back duo than Jonathan Gray and Malcolm Brown, but I'll take it.

Best of the Rest
The Baylor men's golf team is headed to Humble, Texas, for the Bayou City Collegiate Championship, hosted by Rice and Houston. The three-day, 54-hole event begins Friday at the Golf Club of Houston.
We didn't get to spoil the Aggies' fun in women's tennis, unfortunately.
The 15th-ranked Baylor women's tennis team came up short against No. 10 Texas A&M, 4-3, on Thursday at the Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station.
Canada, etc.
Today is the day. After a crushing loss to the Great White North in women's hockey yesterday, the men get their turn at 11:00 AM today on NBC. It is the most important event of the day. Destroy them, men. Destroy them for truth, freedom, and the American Way.
Speaking of birds of prey, I was walking on Founders' Mall yesterday and a hawk swooped in and casually picked up one of the fatter Baylor Squirrels. Rest in peace, little buddy.
Finally, Midnight Waffles Alert:
@PreachMyBrotha I'll be there!

It's going to be the best waffle you ever taste, Bryce. Matthew and I will make sure to keep some record to prove that this happens.
