Daily Bears Report 01.17.2013

Peter G. Aiken-USA TODAY Sports

The Baylor Lady Bears defeated the Kansas State Wildcats 90-69 last night, and Brittney Griner led the way with 29 points, including her 10th dunk of her career, 2nd of the season. The Lady Bears, ranked first in the country for two consecutive weeks, have not lost a game since their November match against Stanford, which they played 36 minutes without point guard Odyssey Sims. Baylor's next game is this Saturday, the second game of a men's/women's double-header. The Bears play Hardin-Simmons at 2:00 PM and the Lady Bears play conference newcomer West Virginia at 7:00 PM in the Ferrell Center.

ESPN's Big 12 blog has a recruiting rundown and scorecard for Big 12 football, and ranks Baylor 4th. The Bears currently have 22 commits, the biggest names of which are WR Robbie Rhodes and dual-threat QB Chris Johnson.

The GIF TOURNAMENT may have ended, but the gifs certainly haven't, and they'll be linked here as soon as they go up/around noon when I get out of class.
