David Ubben proclaims that Baylor will be just fine with Nick Florence, something we've known all along. Baylor Football jumps into Sports Illustrated.com's Power Rankings at number 17. From CBSSports.com comes an in-depth story about Baylor and Alabama and the "system." Baylor earned 16 more votes in the Coaches' Poll thanks to the win over SMU.

Baylor Volleyball swept Texas State 3-0 this weekend, improving their record to 6-1 on the season. Freshman Laura Jones had 14 kills, and the team as a whole hit over .250 and had back-to-back games with 10 or more blocks.

Baylor Soccer junior Kat Ludlow was named the Big 12's Player of the Week for this week after helping the Bears to two shut-out victories over the weekend, with defeats over Nebraska and McNeese State.

In other individual player awards, sophomore Rachel Johnson was named the Big 12 Runner of the Week after winning the Bear Twilight Invitational. She is the first Baylor female cross-country athlete to be honored by the conference since 2008.

Finally, Baylor Athletic Director Ian McCaw's Q&A column is up on the BaylorBears.com website, and is, as always, a worthwhile read.
