Just a quick hit of links before the game later today!
My (and everyone else's) prediction? SO MANY POINTS. In fact, SI.com calls for a POINTSPLOSION, in those capital letters. The festive atmosphere surrounding WVU's introduction to the Big 12 might also lead to a touchdown-fest, in a slightly less creative way of saying POINTSPLOSION. On the line for Baylor in this game? The Bears' top 25 ranking. And a POINTSPLOSION. (I'm just tickled that you can apparently publish something on SI.com with all-caps POINTSPLOSION in the title.)
While Baylor Soccer didn't need a POINTSPLOSION to beat Kansas, beat Kansas they did on Lisa Silwinski's 87th minute goal. The Bears took home the victory in their Big 12 home opener, and moved to 10-1-2 on the season, 1-0-1 in league play. Baylor has only allowed 1 goal at home all season, and has held opposing teams to 9 shutouts. Their next game is Friday, October 5th at Texas Tech.
I'm not sure how a POINTSPLOSION would be useful for Men's Golf, but they dropped their score in the late rounds to hold 4th place at the UNM Tucker Intercollegiate on Friday. The Bears are 22 shots behind tournament leader New Mexico, but only two behind third-place Colorado. The Bears opened the final round this morning at 7:45 AM and look to make up ground across the final day of the competition.
The Game Day Thread for Baylor versus West Virginia will be most likely going up around 10:00 AM. The game starts at 11:00 CT on FX. Sic 'Em, Bears!
