Sorry I'm a little late this week, but the obligations of a busy family often get in the way. In any event, let's get to it!
- Might as well start with the game I assume my readers are most interested in. The Baylor Bears are currently a 13 point underdog to the West Virginia Mountaineers. Everyone knows this has the potential to be one of the most exciting games of the entire college football season, and I expect it to deliver. The over/under for this game currently sits at 80 points. Now, I'm not the type of person to give gambling advice, but if it were me, i'd take the over. This is an 11a.m. game broadcast on FX. WVU is now only an 11 point favorite. The over/under is up to 83.
- Next up, Texas Tech is a slim 2.5 favorite as they kick-off Big 12 play in Ames against Iowa State. I don't know how good the Red Raiders "really" are, but I'd think they're more than 2.5 points better than the Cyclones. This is a 6p.m. game with TV also on FX.
- Also at 6p.m., TCU travels all the way to Dallas to take on SMU in the Battle for the Iron Skillet. Remember, even though TCU is a 16 point favorite this week, the Mustangs knocked off the Horned Frogs last year in Fort Worth, so this one may be closer than you think. Coverage for this game will be on FSN.
- In the only other Big 12 matchup of the weekend, Texas heads to Stillwater to take on Oklahoma State where the Longhorns are currently a 3 point favorite. It looks like quarterback Wes Lunt will not be starting this week due to a lingering knee injury, so OSU will turn to their other freshman, J.W. Walsh, to lead the offense. This is a 6:30p.m. game on FOX. Texas is now a 2.5 point favorite.
All games are on Saturday, September 29th. All times CST. All lines from betonline.ag. All updates as of 3p.m. Friday.
