Just as I expected, we're going to have to wait another week for the Baylor Bears to make their first appearance in the 2012 SB Nation Blog Poll. Though I believe we received more votes this week than we did in Week 1, receiving votes is about as high as our honors get at this point. Several of our Big XII brethren made notable moves in the rankings, however, and several of their blogs both positively and negatively (mostly the latter) for their voting acumen.
On that note, I'm proud to report that our four-man voting crew managed to stay off the various negative lists again this week. Not only were we not among the most biased, we also avoided mention among the more reactionary of ballots. If you want to see how the participating blogs voted for Baylor, you can on this link. That'll take you to the poll summary for Baylor and you can click on the individual ballots submitted.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the ODB ballot as compared to the whole. I'm pretty sure we nailed the top 10, though we might have switched a school or two in the order, and hit most of the top 20. The only major difference I see is that UCLA jumped a lot higher here than it did on our vote. I guess we weren't as impressed by their season so far as others have been. I should also note that the Iowa blog, Black Heart Gold Pants, votes strictly by margin of victory. That's where our 6th place vote comes from. I don't know the process CougCenter uses; perhaps we just have kindred spirits in Mike Leach's new fanbase?
