Baylor Soccer shut out UTSA 4-0 on Sunday, adding a sixth shutout and improving to 6-1-1 in 8 games. The Bears have not allowed a goal in 4 straight games, including last Friday's overtime draw with North Texas. The next game is Friday at 7:00 PM against SMU at Betty Lou Mays Field.

Baylor Volleyball showed their grit in a hard-fought 3-1 win over Hampton to claim the title at the Big Daddy's Invitational tournament in Louisiana on Saturday evening. The Bears fell behind twice, but came through to defeat the Pirates and move to 10-1 on the season. Baylor plays next in at the Kathy Trosclair Memorial Tournament hosted by Tulane on Friday, Sept. 14 at 4:30 pm in New Orleans, La. Their first round opponent will be Binghamton.

Baylor Football picked up more votes in the AP and Coaches' polls despite being off this week. The Bears' next game is this Saturday, September 15th, against SHSU.

Speaking of the September 15th game, the ceremonial ground-breaking ceremony for the new Baylor Stadium will be included in the half-time festivities. This is an extremely exciting and promising time for Baylor, and I know I'll be excited to see the first steps toward the new stadium.

The interwebs are filled with stories about Baylor's most currently famous alumni, who went threw for 320 yards with no interceptions on Sunday in an impressive professional debut with the Washington Redskins. Despite his loathing for the Redskins, Mark wrote something about RG3, and here's the ESPN Stats and Info story about Waco's favorite son.
