Last night I posted about JUCO PG Chris Jones' pending visit to Baylor next weekend (that's now confirmed, by the way) over the Labor Day holiday. It looks now like he won't be alone; 5* 2014 forward Leron Black will also visit unofficially alongside Jones. Black is being recruited by such powers as UConn, Georgetown, Missouri (where he's from), Tennessee, and Memphis. His Rivals profile also shows an offer from N.C. State.
I didn't write this post just to tell you about Jones and Black, though, especially since I already did so about both players. I wrote this post to mention two football recruits who will reportedly be on campus, as well. According to ESPN and BearsTruth.com, 4* OL Caleb Benenoch, younger brother to Baylor's own Josh Benenoch, will take an unofficial visit to the Baylor-SMU game next Sunday with his decision date tentatively schedule for September 28. That same ESPN article I linked above mentions (somewhat strangely) Benenoch's intent to take official visits to Northwestern, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Considering most sources I've read say this is a Baylor-UT fight, I'm not sure what that's all about.
The other visitor coming in next weekend (again, according to BearsTruth) is 3/4* DT Andrew Billings from Waco HS. Another player rumored to be choosing between Baylor and that school in Austin, Billings would not only fill a huge need in this recruiting class, he'd probably also rank as the best DT we've recruited in quite some time. The UT 247Sports site reported today that a decision by Billings could be coming very soon. Stay tuned.
