It's Thursday, which is almost Friday, which is almost the weekend! That means it's almost time to say one week until Baylor Football!

Art Briles and Nick Florence are confident that this year is not going to be a return to four years ago, writes Stefan Stevenson for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Yahoo! Sports has yet another story on Nick Florence potentially not having as big a shoe size as RG3, and now Baylor's offense is the only thing worth writing about. The University Daily Kansan also has a Baylor preview, though it simply makes me thankful that the Lariat has excellent copyeditors.

Baylor Football's first two games (against SMU and Sam Houston State) will be televised on the FOX family of networks. Next Sunday's game will be broadcast on FSN, with the September 15th SHSU game appearing on FOX College Sports.

Cory Jefferson tops a Rant Sports list of 2012 top-10 Big 12 basketball breakout candidates. According to them, Jefferson has a chance to become Anthony Davis-ish, though hopefully he'll forgo the unibrow.

The Baylor Traditions Rally is Friday, August 31st at 7:30 at Floyd Casey Stadium (gates open at 6:30). If you're a current student, I highly encourage you to go. The pep rally is worth it, and there will be fireworks after the Cody Morrow concert. Fireworks, y'all. We normally only get those at Homecoming.
