First and foremost, Baylor may have the next Pierre Jackson in its sights in JUCO PG Chris Jones, who committed to Tennessee and Bruce Pearl in high school, decommitted when Pearl was fired, recommitted to his replacement, and then didn't qualify academically. I tweeted about this the other day, but you should check out Jones' twitter avatar and profile background. I would bet any sum of money that Scott Drew's staff put that together for him.
Jones would fit a major need for Baylor in that he would be ready to play immediately in 2014 after Jackson graduates. Currently, we'll only have LJ Rose on the roster as a pure PG. Brady Heslip played some point before transferring to Baylor but wouldn't be ideal there. Jones would come in as a junior to compete for playing time with Rose and shore up that position tremendously. Watch out for more information about him going forward.

Moving on to the 2015 class... Karl Towns (6-10 PF from NJ) holds a Baylor offer and reportedly has us firmly "in the mix" at this early juncture. He could be another one to watch.
One of my friends asked me a good question: what was my first scholarship offer? It was actually Baylor

Also, according to the tweet below, Zach Coleman decommitted from Mizzou last night. He has a Baylor offer, but I don't know if Baylor is still actively recruiting him at this point or if we have moved on to other players.

Finally, in a non-basketball note, 2014 stud CB Cedric Collins commits tonight at 6 PM. He's choosing between Baylor, Texas A&M, and Nebraska. Long considered a hard Aggie lean, Damon Sayles of ESPN reported yesterday that after talking to Collins and his parents, some people will be "shocked" by his choice. I have no idea what that means. I'll keep you posted.
