BearsTruth, Baylor's 247Sports site, has the latest about Mr. Morgan, the talented TE recruit from Prestonwood Christian Academy that I went all gaga over before he committed to FSU. Without giving too much away, let's just say that you should be excited about the possibilities!

Step with me if you will into a hypothetical world where Morgan decides that 844 miles and nearly 15 hours on the road is just too far away for him to go to school and that he would prefer to play in a gorgeous new venue on the banks of the Brazos merely 114 miles and 2 hours away inside of beautiful Central Texas. If such a thing happened, that would give Baylor two commits in the 2013 class at the TE position to replace departing 2012 senior Jerod Monk and add depth to a position that will have one player who has ever actually played TE at any level next season (Jordan Najvar). Gus Penning could probably step in immediately from the JUCO ranks to contribute behind Najvar next year and allow Morgan (should he determine that playing at least 8 games in the state of Texas every year of his career is important) to either redshirt or work his way into the rotation slowly.

The combination of a JUCO TE and an extremely high ceiling HS recruit would be perfect for our needs given Monk's departure this year and the presence of an established starter next season.
