College Football Officially has a Playoff

We still don't know where the games will be played, but it will be a selection committee that chooses them a la men's and women's basketball. I'll update the thread as more information becomes available. FOLLOW ON TWITTER.

Playoff notes: 12-year deal. Six TBD bowls will be in semifinal rotation. Selection committee will determine teams.

Six bowls in a rotation means Fiesta, Rose, Sugar, Cotton, Orange, and ... Champions? It doesn't exist yet as a separate bowl. Chick Fil-A? I don't know.

Selection committee will rank 4 playoff teams based on: W-L record, strength of schedule, head-to-head & if team is conference champion.
