Baylor Baseball fell 4-2 to Oral Roberts in the first round of the NCAA Regionals held at the Baylor Ballpark last night. The Bears led the Eagles 2-0 until the 6th inning. Baylor plays UTA (lost 10-0 to DBU) today at 2:00 PM CT. The lineup card for this game is here.

In other baseball news, Baylor had 4 members of the team named Louisville Slugger All-Americans (2nd team: Josh Turley, 3rd team: Josh Ludy, Trent Blank, Logan Vick). Baylor tied Florida State University for most All-American honors.

David Ubben of ESPN.com writes that Baylor Football's most indispensable player for the 2012-2013 season is Terrance Williams. Williams caught the game-winning pass vs OU and has the chance this year to make even more of a mark on the Baylor Football program.

The Baylor Lady Bears will play Stanford in Hawaii in November 2012, reports the Stanford Sports blog for the San Francisco Chronicle. The two teams faced each other last in the national semifinals, where Baylor defeated the Cardinal 59-47.

Baylor Track and Field athlete Jessica Ubanyionwu earned her second College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District honors. The award recognizes athletes who excel in both their sport and their academics. Ubanyionwu has a 3.93 GPA in health science studies/pre-med and will be competing in the NCAA Outdoor Championship later this month.
