It's come down to this, ladies and gents. Because of last night's disaster of a loss, Baylor Baseball stands at the precipice of elimination in a regional they hosted as a national seed. Win today (and the following three days after that) or stay home the rest of the way. The disappointment of a two-game exit this year would be incredible.
The positive for today's game is that the pitching matchup greatly favors the Bears. RHP Trent Blank takes the mound for Baylor against UTA's John Beck. Beck only started 6 games (pitched in relief in 2 more) in his sophomore season, racking up a 3.71 ERA in 34 IP. He allowed 41 hits in those innings to go with 10 walks, making his WHIP exactly 1.50. He struck out 23 batters.
This is a guy that Baylor can and should hit. I expect Ludy to have a big day against him.

I'm going to be in and out this afternoon, but I will be following the game on twitter. If someone wants to post updates in this thread, they should feel free. I'll update the box as I swing by from time to time.
