Today is the first day of the Big 12 Conference Tournament, which is being played at Chickashaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, OK. After a stellar regular season that saw Baylor blow the conference away en route to a regular season Big 12 Championship, the Bears enter the Tournament as the undisputed #1 seed and hottest team. The Bears look to polish their resume, which will almost certainly include a national seed in the NCAA Tournament and a regional site in Waco, by winning the double-elimination conference tournament for what I believe would be the first time ever.

Below the jump, I've copied today's matchup with links to live stats and a web feed that you can watch through the Big 12's official website. I tried to post the tournament bracket, but it looked terrible, so here's a link to the Big 12 Tournament site. Should Baylor win today, they will face the winner of the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State game that is going on as we speak. That game would take place tomorrow at 4:00 PM. A loss today pits Baylor against the loser of that game tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM.

As you can see from the pitching matchups listed above, Baylor has chosen last Thursday's starter vs. Texas, Josh Turley, to take the hill today against the Kansas State Wildcats. Win or lose, Trent Blank will likely start tomorrow's game (remember, this is a double-elimination tournament) against either OU or OSU. Baylor faces Kayvon Bahramzadeh, a pitcher they hammered for 7 ER in 4.2 IP earlier this season as part of Baylor's sweep of Kansas State in Manhattan. Don't let the fact that it was a sweep fool you; all three games were closely-contested with two going into extra innings.

I'll update this thread throughout the game for those unable to watch. For those that want to stick around, this will be the GDT for today's game. Go Bears! Feed the Beaver!!!
