Mizzou was all like "Oh no, you're not winning #13 in a row against us, dagnabbit!" and Trent Blank said "Watch me."
So yeah, they've now won 13 in a row and are 11-0 to start the Big XII conference season. That sets a new record in conference play, breaking the old record of 10 games set by the (checking my notes here) Baylor Bears. The previous record stood for one day.
In other Baylor news, Dan Wolken started a minor twitter firestorm this evening with the following tweet:
The name Scott Drew already popping up for the LSU job. Didn't they already fire Scott Drew when he was named John Brady?
— Dan Wolken (@DanWolken) April 6, 2012
He then proceeded to jettison any semblance of logical thinking by saying that the LSU job is better "on paper," but the Baylor job looks better because of what Drew has built here. So LSU is a better program, but Drew built Baylor into a better program? Interesting, Mr. Wolken. Very interesting.
Anyway, I asked the guy that runs And The Valley Shook, LSU's SBNation blog, and this was his response.
.@OurDailyBears The Scott Drew-Dale Brown connection is interesting, but it's not enough to get him to LSU bit.ly/HtSVyC

Of course, as I linked earlier in the day, the only reason that LSU needs a new MBB coach at all is that theirs left willingly for TCU, who could make a serious run at going winless in their first Big XII season next year based on the talent on their roster. That coach is, of course, the same one that couldn't beat Baylor for the best recruit in Louisiana despite the fact that he coached the largest and most prestigious school in Louisiana. The fact that you just lost a coach to TCU should tell you something, Tigers fans, and that something is that you're not going to steal a much better coach from us.
