Jay Glazer of FoxSports.com is reporting via twitter that the Washington Redskins and St. Louis Rams have agreed to a trade that will net the Redskins the #2 pick (and Baylor QB Robert Griffin III) in return for the Redskins' number 1 this year, two additional first round picks, and other picks. His tweet says he will update the story soon on FoxSports.com, and I will update this thread when he does.
Looks like RG3 will be a Redskin, folks.
In case you were wondering how I feel about this, I wrote about this possibility two weeks ago. Short version: I'm ok with it because I want Robert to be successful, and I think that's more likely to happen in Washington than Cleveland. those were the only two teams that had the ammunition to make a move for him.
UPDATE #1: Three firsts???? Hopefully that doesn't hamstring their ability to build around him. Wait. Did I just hope that the Redskins acquire more talent? WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?
UPDATE #2: ESPN's Adam Schefter says it's actually 3 firsts and a second.
Washington Redskins traded three first-round draft picks and a second-round pick to St. Louis for second overall... fb.me/Q2ydwWXu
