Momentum continues to build for Baylor Football's 2013 recruiting class as 4* WR Quan Jones gave his much-expected verbal commitment tonight to Art Briles and the Baylor Bears. Jones, a junior at Wylie East High School in Wylie, Texas, is a member of both the ESPN150 and Rivals250, and, depending on which recruiting service you prefer, is either Baylor's highest-ranking recruit yet for 2013 or the second-highest. Rankings aside, Jones has prototypical size for an outside receiver (6-4, 200) and holds offers from almost 20 D1 schools including Missouri, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas Tech, Arizona, and Arkansas. As always, I'll put a highlight video below the jump, and I'd love to hear your thoughts about him.
In case you want to show Baylor's newest 2013 commit the love on Twitter, his account (@itsQuannn) is currently retweeting anything and everything related to Baylor. Here are links to his profiles from Scout, Rivals, 247Sports, and ESPN. So far none of the services have articles up about him-- I'll update this post when they do-- but I believe Erin Hartigan of Scout.com had the story first.
Welcome to Baylor Nation, Quan!
UPDATE: Here is the first article from Ms. Hartigan over on BearsIllustrated.com.
The best I could find on youtube was a video from a camp at OU. That'll have to do for now, I guess.
