It's double-header time on Big Monday for Baylor's basketball teams! Baylor's women continue their quest for a perfect season tonight at defending national champion Texas A&M while our men finish out the home portion of their season schedule against Texas Tech. The women's game SHOULD be the closer of the two, though this is the same team that Baylor blew out at home just two short weeks ago.
First up we have the women, who play tonight at 6PM on ESPNU (and ESPN3). We can use this as the GDT for the women's game since SBNation doesn't support WBB as of this moment.
The men's game follows at 8:05 CST. In case you missed it from earlier today, here is Tim's excellent preview of the game. He predicted an easy 78-61 win for the men tonight, but I'm not seeing it. No matter where he is, Gillespie's teams tend to give Scott Drew fits with defensive and offensive pressure. Tech is not a good team in any respect, but Baylor tends to play down to its opponent's level. The only time we've seen this team truly blow someone out came against Iowa State in what was possibly Baylor's best conference performance of the season. I certainly hope we something similar to that tonight in the home finale for seniors Quincy Acy, Anthony Jones, and Fred Ellis, as well as probable NBA early-entree Perry Jones III (should he decide to forego his remaining eligibility).

With wins over Notre Dame and UConn, the Bears are the undisputed best team in the nation and it's impossible to see them losing before the Final Four in Denver next month. Baylor is 70-3 since the start of the 2009-10 season and has held 16 of its last 17 opponents under 60 points, winning games by an average of 28.6 points. Junior center Brittney Griner is the favorite for Player of the Year honors. She's scored in double-figures in 69 straight games and is averaging 22.6 points and 9.7 rebounds.
No. 1 Baylor puts perfect mark on line vs. No. 14 A&M - Houston Chronicle
COLLEGE STATION - Three years ago, Baylor's Brittney Griner and Texas A&M's Kelsey Bone were the nation's top two ranked players out of high school, both from Houston. In truth, the Aggies plunged into the deep end a little more than two weeks ago at Waco, when the top-ranked Lady Bears sank the defending national champions 71-48 before a sellout crowd in the Ferrell Center. Griner, who starred at Nimitz High School, scored 21 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked six shots. Blair said it's imperative that Bone, who played her first year at South Carolina before sitting out last season after transferring, and others hit a couple of outside shots, and Bone makes a point to get out and run in the transition game. The Lady Bears will try to match Nebraska from two years ago for best start in Big 12 history, and Baylor needs only two more victories to finish the regular season undefeated.
