There's not a lot out there right now, with a lot of Baylor sports coming from an off day. In the schedule for the days ahead-Baylor Volleyball plays Wednesday in the Ferrell Center, and Baylor Football is at Texas this weekend.
Baylor Softball is hosting the National Professional Fastpitch team tonight at Getterman Stadium in their final game ofthe fall schedule. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM, with gates opening at 5:30 PM, and there will be a 20-minute autograph session following the game. The Lady Bears currently have a 7-0 record in fall play, and hope to finish with a perfect record.
The Star-Telegram states that Baylor hopes to make a strong recovery before facing Texas, in news that we all knew. Texas Quarterback David Ash does expect to play this Saturday, despite his wrist looking like a wrist designed by Picasso last weekend. (Forgive me for linking to a UT site.)
I missed this yesterday, but if you're looking to buy season tickets for both men's and women's basketball, you can do so at a discounted price this week. Odyssey Sims and Brady Heslip's combined 39 made 3-pointers gave Baylor fans a $39.00 discount to see their Lady Bears and Bears play all season long. In other basketball news, the AP has a story on Lady Bear center Brittney Griner as she enters her senior year of college and looks toward the WNBA draft, even as the Lady Bears play for another national title. Griner is expected to be selected very highly in the draft next year, perhaps even with the first overall pick.
