One would think that with it being so close to a game there'd be more news out there. Well, there is news, but it's all about Casey Pachall.

Five quick things about the game this Saturday from the DMN, most of which boil down to "No Casey Pachall so nobody really knows what's going to happen." SB Nation's TCU site, Frogs O'War, has a First Look at Baylor that might be worth reading, but if you have any kind of sentimental connection to Waco or if people saying that Baylor is the NoZe makes you angry...don't. Instead, go look at the Sic 'Em, Sports Productions introduction to the Florences and everything our distinguished quarterback does off the field. Baylor's offense gets a mention in David Ubben's Week 7 Stock Report, and we'll hopefully get to see this offense against a TCU defense that's not quite as vaunted as it had been in the last few years.

Last night, the Lady Bears held their Welcome Back dinner for Tip-Off Club members and other team supporters. Coach Kim Mulkey emphasized the fact that the goal for this season is another national title, and despite bringing back all five of last year's starters that will not be an easily attained achievement. The Lady Bears play the three other Final Four participants in non-conference games this season, and welcome two newcomers to the Big 12 in conference play, as well.

Baylor Soccer Freshman Bri Campos was honored with the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week award for her second-overtime golden goal last weekend against Texas Tech. This is only the fourth newcomer award the Bears have won since 2000.

Baylor Volleyball's match tonight against Texas Tech has been designated "Sic 'Em for the Cure" and attendees to tonight's 7:00 PM game in the Ferrell Center are encouraged to wear pink along with their green and gold to support research for a cure for breast cancer.
