Looks like this will be the last post about Bo Wallace 'round these parts unless by some weird coincidence Baylor plays either MSU or Ole Miss in a bowl game down the road, because according to a Rivals.com article, Bo Wallace has eliminated Baylor from consideration and will decide on Wednesday between the two Mississippi schools.

I can't say that I'm too surprised by this outcome because it seemed like staying close to home was always going to be extremely important for Wallace from his own comments and those around him. His coach also seemed to be steering him somewhat in the Bulldogs' direction. I can't say that I'm not a little disappointed about it, though, because I still fully believe that Robert Griffin III will declare for the NFL Draft this week (though I've heard his announcement has been moved to Wednesday from tomorrow) and we will be left with only two legitimate QB options on the roster.

I suppose that it is POSSIBLE that Wallace decided not to come to Baylor because he thinks RG3 will stay here another year, but I doubt it, particularly in light of Coach Briles' comments today that RG3 has not yet decided anything. Maybe Wallace has the ability to read minds (which would be awesome!) or just got a feeling that RG3 would stay behind, or maybe the coaches told him that the job was Florence's to lose and he didn't like that. I don't know.

We'll see how Coach Briles and company react to the news with about three weeks left on the recruiting schedule. I think it's pretty obvious that we need someone for at least depth if we are going to lose RG3, which is by no means certain, but I still think will happen.

Best of luck to you, Bo, whichever Mississippi school you choose. I have a prediction: it will be one with "Mississippi" in the title.
