The big news this evening is that Bo Wallace, the all-everything JUCO QB whose recruitment has exploded recently, will NOT be visiting the University of Texas tomorrow (Saturday) as has been rumored all week. UT fans/observers, seemingly so confident that he was a UT lock going into this weekend, are now scrambling to figure out what happened just like the rest of us.
The more important visit for Baylor was the one scheduled for Waco today. As of this moment, I don't know for sure if that visit ever actually occurred. The last news I saw reported about Wallace and Baylor said that he was en route this morning to Waco, but it's possible that he made the decision (if indeed the decision was his) not to visit both schools and turned around somewhere along the way. I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere that he made it to Waco, and if I find anything out I'll update the post.
At this point, I think that's probably what happened; after his official visit to Mississippi State yesterday (the school to which he nearly committed and that his JUCO coach basically called the favorite this afternoon), Bo decided that he wasn't going to make the trip Texas anymore at all. It wouldn't make sense to me to take a visit to Baylor today and not go to UT tomorrow at least to see the school.*
*Unless, by some incredible happenstance, he decided not to visit UT tomorrow while in Waco tonight. No, that's pure crazy talk.
Without knowing for sure I'm going to guess that at some point this weekend we'll find out that Bo Wallace committed to Mississippi State University. All we know for sure right now is that he won't be in Austin tomorrow.
