It's an evening DBR again today, but this time because there just wasn't that much news published this morning when I looked to put this together. I've been clipping stories all day and we have a sizable collection now worthy of your perusal.
We're going to begin with Baylor MBB, which bounced back last night against OU in Norman. Perry Jones III features prominently in most of these articles...

- Speaking of the Baylor-UT game: Baylor’s NBA Prospects | Barking Carnival
I'm doing an "NBA Draft Toolbox" series over at SB Nation, and I have a look at how Baylor's players project at the next level. Baylor has the deepest front-court in the country, which is pretty bad news for a UT team with one scholarship player above 6'7.

- On the recruiting front, the last 24 hours have been relatively disappointing for Baylor as two of its primary targets confirmed that they will remain committed to their previous schools. Dominique Wheeler, a 4* WR that Baylor hoped to pair at outside receiver with Corey Coleman on the inside, tweeted last night that he will sign with Texas Tech. This afternoon, Ladarius Newbold, a DB targeted by Baylor defensive coordinator Phil Bennett, announced the same today. Both had been rumored to be switching as soon as last night, but it was not to be. I can't begrudge them their decision, I just hope they have fun with the TERRIBLE SANDSTORMS.
- Also, in case you don't pay as much attention to these things as I do, the last seven days have been pretty rough on our collie-loving neighbors to the east in recruiting. A&M lost 4* #1-ranked JUCO RB Marion Grice (reportedly because of qualification issues), 4* DB Colin Blake (now considering TCU, OU, and FSU, I believe), and 4* OL Michael Wilson (switched to Oklahoma State). Rumor has it that 5* RB Trey Williams has been extremely concerned about Sumlin's offense and will visit OSU this weekend after having visited Arkansas last weekend. That'll be another to watch.
UPDATE: #2-ranked Missouri just lost to Oklahoma State in Stillwater. I did not see that coming.
