Let's do this, gentlemen!
Based on KenPom's latest rankings, Baylor is the 10th-best team in the country while Mississippi State checks in at number 57. For reference, Baylor's last opponent (West Virginia) is 32, BYU was 19, and St. Mary's was 27.
Baylor's adjusted offensive and defensive rankings are 17 and 15, respectively, though I don't have a subscription to the site to be able to tell you how or why. Still, though KenPom's rankings show this as a bit of a mismatch, more conventional (read: probably less useful) show that Mississippi State is a team on the rise that is playing well (winners of their last 11, including over Arizona and Texas A&M). It should be a fun game to watch tonight.
I'm hoping that the dominant version of Perry Jones III shows up tonight and that Pierre Jackson continues his strong play off the bench. I would actually like it even better if he started the game tonight.
