8.9.2013 Daily Bears Report: Site News (Podcast!) and Meet the Bears!

Something you've been waiting for is finally coming together, and ODB will be present for tomorrow's scrimmage and Meet the Bears!

Before I get to the site news, which I hadn't decided to share until right now but will because I'm really excited about it, Baylor is hosting a scrimmage tomorrow at the on-campus practice facility beginning at 11:45.  The actual practice will start at 10:30, and it is open to the public.

The big news, from my perspective, is that I will be going tomorrow for the first time in the last couple of years, with my family in tow.  My son William loves to watch football, so we decided to make a day of it and probably drop some money in the bookstore while we're down there.  If I have a crazy wing or two at George's, well that's all the better.  But I'll be there, and if you recognize me (not sure why you would, but it's possible), please feel free to come up and say hello!  If you are planning on going, SicEmCompliance has a message:

Now, on to the better news: the details are coming together on ODB's Podcast for this coming season.  It's finally happening.  ODB contributor Peter Pope (pbpope) is going to host the podcast, and myself and Prashanth will be regular guests.  We intend to do one show per week during the season, recorded on Wednesdays and posted on Thursdays.  If you would like to be on the show at some point, shoot me an email and we can work out the technical details.  This is something we're really excited about doing, and I hope the community enjoys it.  We're still working on a name at this point; so far I've just be referring to it personally as OurDailyPodcast.

Get excited!
