Finals. Ack.

Baylor Softball routed Texas Tech last night on ESPN, defeating the Lady Raiders 8-2. The Lady Bears scored five of their runs in the first two innings, and used hits from 9 different players to back up a stellar performance by Whitney Canion, who struck out 12 across six innings, while only allowing 4 hits and two earned runs. Baylor looks to clinch the series tonight in a 6:30 PM game, while Tech will be attempting to do what salvage work they can on their season.

Baylor Baseball begins a three game series against Kansas, working to continue their season-long five game winning streak. The Bears are 17-7 in Lawrence, but lost the 2011 series there. Max Garner is the probable starter in tonight's 6:00 PM game, as Baylor fights to make the NCAA Tournament. Perfect Game USA's most recent Field of 64 predictions have the Bears in the championship, in the Baton Rouge Regional.

Baylor Track and Field hosts the Big 12 Outdoor Championships this weekend for the first time since 2006 at the Hart-Patterson Track and Field Complex near Floyd Casey Stadium. The Bears are ranked 21st on the women's side and 36th on the men's side, and are among the 6 and 7 top rated teams in the conference. Baylor has won a total of 48 individual events during this season, with 11 coming from throwers Erin Atkinson and Skylar White. Baylor sprinter Blake Heriot looks to impress in this weekend's meets, using objective to run faster times than he previously thought possible.

Baylor Football unveiled their new uniforms. The black uniforms with the shiny gold helmet? That, I like.
